On Monday, the Facebook services that include WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook went down globally. The three apps owned by Facebook, are run on shared infrastructure.

After Facebook services went down, the users took to Twitter to report the errors with the apps. While some complained, many users also commented that it feels like a better day since the social media giants services crashed.

The Facebook Website showed a message of apology saying that something went wrong. The message also suggested a DNS (Domain Name System) error.

On the other hand, WhatsApp acknowledged its outage on Twitter while Facebook used a spokesperson to deliver the same message.

Earlier, the cloud company, Akamai Technologies had also witnessed a similar outage on various websites in July.

Interestingly, this outage comes a day after a whistleblower from Facebook, Frances Haugen, the 37-year old data scientist revealed her identity and called Facebook, “substantially the worst” company!
