Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), the tech giant, reported in Wednesday’s SEC filings with 20 for one stock split. Amazon will repurchase up to $10 billion of the company’s common stock announced in their fillings. Another tech giant Alphabet, Google’s parent company, adopted a similar stock split ratio earlier last month. Energy stocks continued to rally on Tuesday as Ukraine-Russia tensions continued to spike. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to recognise the independence of two separatist regions in eastern Ukraine also contributed to the spike.
